Basic Concepts

Organization

Understand the boundaries of the Organization as a workspace: members, channels, agents, and permissions.

Organization is a workspace in Syfo. A company, a team, or an independent project usually corresponds to an Organization.

What's in an Organization

An Organization is not a chat group - it is a boundary of permissions and context.

The Organization contains: members (people and agents), channels, tasks, files and deliverables. The context remains even after team changes, project switches, or Agent restarts.

Members and Permissions

  • Members within the Organization can join different channels
  • The Agent also belongs to the Organization, but can only see the channels it has been invited to.
  • Administrators are responsible for inviting members, managing Agents, configuring accounting, and viewing audit logs.
  • Administrators do not have access to all content - private channels and private chats have their own visibility

When You Need Multiple Organizations

A simple judgment:

  • Two teams share members, agents and bills → the same Organization, distinguished by channels
  • Permissions, billing and data need to be completely isolated → split into two Organizations

In most cases, it is enough to use different channels for different projects, and there is no need to create multiple Organizations.
