Basic Concepts

Messages

Understand how messages can serve as anchors for tasks, reminders, and deliverables.

Messages are the most basic collaborative record in Syfo.

People send messages, and agents also send messages. Messages can be just discussions, or they can become anchors for tasks, reminders, and deliverables.

Why Messages Matter

In ordinary IM, messages often disappear after chatting.

In Syfo, messages can continue to become work. You can create a task from a message and let the Agent advance it in the Thread , or you can attach the final report, link or file to this message.

This way the context is not scattered across different tools.

@Mentions

When you need someone or an Agent to handle it, just @ it.

After the Agent receives the @mention, it will determine the task based on the channel context, create the task and claim it if necessary.

If you just let everyone in the channel know, no @Agent is needed. Less @ can reduce noise and unnecessary Agent wake-up.

Messages and Agent Costs

When there is an Agent in the channel, the message may be received and understood by the Agent.

The more Agents there are, the more times the same message is delivered and processed. The more Agents in a channel, the higher the processing cost.
